Delysia Lafosse Makeup - Lingerie Show

This look is taken from the scene where Delysia and Miss. Pettigrew go to a fashion show. This look is typical of the late 30's in london I think its very wearable for today too. Also very easy.

Face: Apply a powder foundation to entire face. When using power be sure to use a light hand because you don't want to look too dried out an fake.

Brows: lightly defined with powder and set in place with gel.

Eyes: Start with a nude color and place all over entire lid. Next use a dark brown pencil eye liner and define top lash line. Then Tight line the top lash line to make lashes look thicker.  Finally Curl your Lashes and Apply your favorite mascara.

Lips: For her lips Delysia used a sort of cherry red, for this I would use a lip blam stain. Revlon has a really nice one, the color I think would match the picture is Romantic. I really think you should invest in this especially if you are into vintage makeup looks.

Well girlies i hope that you enjoyed this! I did! So until next time!

Delysia Lafosse Makeup - Morning After

Introducing Miss. Delysia Lafosse! What a darling! This makeup look is the first in a planned makeup series of 5 Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day. This is a look taken from the scene where we are introduced to this lovely character, she has just woken up from a scandalous evening. So here is how to get the look!

Face: As you can see this look has a rather Peaches and cream feel to it, and very little face makeup. Apply an light layer of face lotion to the whole face. Then place a pressed powder blush in a peach color on the apples of your cheeks.

Brows: The eye brows are very important in this look so be sure to shape them before anything. Also be sure and fill them in with the correct shade of medium brown.

Eyes: For this look it may seem like she has hardly any eye makeup on but she really does. Start with a cream shadow or a shadow stick in a pale pink or peach and apply all over lid up into the crease. Then take a gray-ish brown shadow stick and lightly apply that along the lash line. Both upper and lower, blend with finger until desired intensity. Then Finally apply one coat of mascara only on top lashes.

Lips: The perfect pink nude lip calls for a tinted lip balm. Use in what ever brand or color that is closest to your naturally lips just yummier! ;) ~try: L 'Oreal's color caress balm)

Well my darlings I hope that you liked this look, its one of my favorites I do it every monday because I get so lazy. Its fast, easy, fresh but still a bit vintage.
Alright so long!

Nostalgic Movie Magic

In this darling film Amy Adams plays a divine movie star want-to-be with quite a flare for life. Set in  London around the late thirties the fashion, hair and makeup are just to die for! Not to mention the home decor is delicious. So i have decided to to break down the different elements of this film that are vintage enough to "retro-fy" any ones lifestyle.
here are my ideas:
  • Makeup series
    • Morning After Scene
    •  Lingerie Show
    • Bath Tub Scene
    • Party Scene
    • New York Scene
  •  Apartment Decor
  • Music
I hope that you all will go out and buy this movie because if you like anything cute, romantic or retro half as much as I do then you will love this movie!
