Dita Von Teese Makeup

Okay so If any of you are fans of Dita's then you should know her new fall/winter perfume erotique is out (finally!!!) and her makeup is so beautiful and sultry I had to do it for my family thanksgiving. So I am now going to do a writen tutorial based on her look.

So for starters this is what we are going for:
Is dark and mysterious. I adore it. Plus it looks good on all eye shapes and colors.

Face:
For the face start out light to medium coverage foundation all over (for effect even use a shade lighter than your skin tone). Top that with translucent powder all over. From there take a muavey blush color and apply with a blush brush directly under cheekbones. On the top of the cheekbones use a champagne color to highlight; an eyeshadow will do just fine. Fill in brows if needed.

Eyes:
Now for the fun part! Get a hold of some smokey grey shadow (the one I used is a baked shadow from e.l.f.) and an angled brush. Load up your brush with the shadow and "map out" the shape we are going to create. (Notice the shape Dita is sporting above and examples are below)
1. Start by lining your lash line and then extending it into a wing like you would winged eyeliner. Then make a line (with the shadow) from under the front portion of your eyebrow down to your tearduct. Then connect the two lines with another line.
2. Fill in the shape with the same shadow. Carry some onto the bottom lash line too.
3. Use a champagne/white shadow on the brow bone and blend the lines until desired definition.
After all that is the easy part: liner. Just take some black sadow and line around the outer 3/4 of the eye (top and bottom lash line).
Then use a black pencil liner to add depth or a black glitter liner for glamour :)

Then just add your beauty mark and mascara. Done with eyes!

Lips:
Pick your favorite dark lipstick. My new favorite is by FLOWER Cosmetics called black rose. It's purple/red and perfect for winter.

Well I sure do hope that was helpful! I had tons of fun.
Here is the final look:

So long dearies!

Back to School Fashion - Retro Glam

You might have noticed - SCHOOLS ALMOST HERE! So I am revealing my 2013-2014 Style Guidelines. Yay! (Caution: Fashion Geek)

Fashion:
The key to staying glamourous daily is refining the look. Keeping it simple. Also I'm going to go trough the two main seasons.
Summer/Spring:
This look is perfect for summer. It's vintage, simple, comfortable and above all glam. Now I personally don't like jeans. They are uncomfortable, not feminine and hardly ever vintage but this is fabulous. A perfect look for school day or lazy day.
Personally this is one of my favorite looks - just ever. You can never go wrong with flats, high-waisted capris and a button down cardigan. Cute and cozy. Good for spring when it's chilly sometimes.
This look is authentically accurate to the summer in the 40's. Its perfect. Circle skirt, wedges and a blouse. Comfortable and cool. Great for summer still keeping it glam.
This last look is my favorite. Nothing is more glam than a maxi dress - retro style. Plus you can wear comfortable flats and no one will see them :).

Winter/Fall:
Winter and fall is my personal favorite seasons for both fashion and weather. So here are some glam looks for cold weather;
First off a fabulous coat is vital. It's something everyone sees it's entirely visible. Black is the perfect color too. Really pops against snow.
Next is stockings. Slipping a pair of stockings under your dresses or pencil skirts not only looks and feels ultra retro glam but it also keeps you cozy warm. A good pair of stockings in both black and nude are essentials.
This is one of my favorite looks. High neckline, long sleeves, form fitting. Perfection. Plus is so easy slip on some stockings zip up and done. Off to class.

Hair:
Because I have short hair. I'll show you how I like to have it styled. But ill show some other options for longer hair.
Short: down
Short: UPDO
Medium: down

Long: down

Makeup:
This is just what I personally wear everyday. But there are millions of options.
Red lips and red nails.
Wing (only on special occasions), beauty mark (drawn on) and pale powder.
