Well, it is the 21st century you know and jeans are something that you will have to wear mostly on a day to day basis. So this is a short guide on how to do jeans - Very Vintage style.
If Your Tall (5' 6" and taller): You can go with almost any type of jean, but high waisted "lean flares" (or flares that are tight from the waist down to the knee and then flare out to your toes) are the best choice for ultimate sophistication and comfort.
~In the dressing room know that you can change the length. as a general rule they should graze the ground with both flats and jeans.
Brands to try:
Denzin's by Levi's (super stretch yay!)
Levi's
If your Medium (5' 4" - 5' 5"): Really the best type for this height is boot cut, they come in all shapes, colors and sizes. They should be medium wash high waisted and flare out starting at the top of the knee. they are really very flattering on this height. And the length; they should be abouProxy-Connection: keep-alive
Cache-Control: max-age=0
a centimeter above the ground.
If your... well... short (5' 3" and under):
Don't be ashamed! be short is fun in a way! you can pull off tons of dress lengths and you can wear platform heels for a real reason! Plus you get the classiest funnest jean! Dark wash(I like mine black), high waisted, skinny jeans! Yay! they are most flattering with your height. They length should be really right at/below the ankles. this will elongate the legs to make you look taller and thinner, it only makes sense.
Hope this Helps!

Doing the Pan Am
For about two years we have had the vintage inspired show called "Mad Men" to watch for ideas and inspiration. Now that Mad men is no longer on we are left with movies that we have all seen thousands of times (no that I don't love an old movie but come on! how many times can one watch Grease?!?).
On September 25th a new show called Pan Am came on, I had been waiting weeks in advance for it so show, and now we have new moxie to look forward to every week! On every Sunday night I stay up late and watch it! Its world wide fun with all the drama you could ever need with accurate vintage outfits its the best show ever!
But I have to say my very favorite part is the glamor! The hair, the makeup, even the girdles! (Pardon me ladies) My favorite character is "Maggie Ryan" played by Christina Ricci, she is sassy but desirable, the perfect catch (and also my role model at the moment)! but she has no interest in men, she is a strong willed women who is fending for herself around the world!
So far this show has inspired me to:
1. Make this blog
2. Re think my makeup routine
3. Be galmorus on a daily level
4. Cut my hair
5. Exercise (only on the week days)
Now for an hour every Sunday night (at 9pm central) thats pretty amazing!
Oh! and for the Fabulous luggage and bags... Link - http://www.panam.com/

The Body
So looking at pictures of fabulously drawn women like the one above, it is hard not to think that you are fat and she is perfect. Now, remember this word "perfect" it's never possible to be perfect. Even the girl in the drawing, one side of her mouth is more open than the other. Nothing can be prefect.
But really to have a Very Vintage lifestyle you are going to have to understand that somehow, some way you will have to highlight a small waist.
But wait! Before you think that I am crazy, there are many options on how to do this and here they are:
1. The Pin Ups Diet... lean protein
2. The proper under garments - Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4cYpzCtv0k
3. Exercise, exercise, exercise ;)
4. Creative attire - If you make your bust and your hips look larger your waist will naturally appear smaller (tiny even!)
5. Look at yourself differently - look at yourself in the mirror put your hands tightly around your waist and suck in your tummy a bit, then move on with your day.
I will expand on this later... but I hope this helps for now!

I'm all About it...
Hello! I would like to say that I am so excited to be making a blog! This blog is all about my lovely journey into a fully "old and improved" lifestyle, the Very Vintage life style! For me lifestyle includes: Hair, makeup, fashion and travel.
I have researched for years about all things vintage and I think that this blog is going to be a good place to share it all. I am a freshman in high school and yes have only been living for a short period of time, but I have probably watched more movies than my parents combined (and that's a lot)
The secret behind my love of vintage is their values; simplicity. Simplicity is key when it comes to vintage, and to me it's a fantastic new (or old) look on life. Growing up now everything is so complex and fast moving. It's nice to say "Hey, it wasn't always this way!" This way we can relax and enjoy being one of kind women.
